Set in 1970s downtown Los Angeles; The Nice Guys follows wise-cracking detective Holland March (Gosling) and hard-edged enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) as an unlikely duo, working together to investigate the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated apparent suicide of a young porn star.     It seems people are trying to take this film too seriously when it is just a fun film. Some funny bits and was enjoyable all round.

    Nice spoof take on the Chandleresque noir. Thought the two leads and the daughter were great. Could have had a more sophisticated plot but had some great bits of dialogue, and stuff. Sorry, shouldn't have said that!

    I loved this film! Don't watch it expecting it to be at all serious or clever, it's just a good and really fun watch! I think Crowe and Gosling played their characters perfectly. It does require a kind of humour that probably isn't to everyone's taste.

    Dreadful plot, Ryan Gosling was dreadful. They succeeded in emulating some of the worst '70s twaddle. Really dreadful film
