Nobody sounds like Hiddleston's ridiculous accent. Somewhere in the middle it became unwatchable.

Saw the film last night, after hearing some 'luke warm' reviews. I was surprised and pleased to find that the reviews were largely wrong. Of course, as all biopics, it was episodic and occasionally focused on some of the negative events in Hank's life but it was extremely well-acted by all concerned...and the music was joyful in its rendition- TH really 'delivered' in the vocal department! In the end, it did what all good movies of this kind should do...and I've spent the morning trawling through iTunes etc. filling in the gaps in my Hank Williams collection. Enough said!

Sadly not a patch on the original version. It came across as if there was nothing else but sadness in his life brought on by circumstances, a darker version of the original. I'm sure Hank Williams loved his music and performing, but this did not come across in the film. Would not bye the soundtrack and will play the old original on the good old turn table.

I saw this at the cinema- it was superb and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great music, great characters. Tom Hiddleston was excellent as Hank Williams. I really recommend this movie (and the soundtrack album too).

It was quite an effort to find this film in any of my local cinemas as it seems to be a limited release but I did find it and it was worth the search. All in all, it was a fantastic film and Hiddleston is simply superb as Williams. Capturing the mannerisms and vocal stylings of the young man himself, he portrayed a talented man tormented by the struggles of alcohol and broken relationships, perfectly. His voice, whilst softer and more mellow than Williams, is a sheer delight to listen to. His integral supporting cast are just as brilliant and provide an interesting element to his life story, however short it was. Williams' legacy is his music and his talents and less about his troubled personal life. Hiddleston brings all these elements to the table and his performance is a testament to how great Williams was and how he has influenced the genre of country music. A must-see film!
