    It's fun. There's plenty of violence and raunchy nudity to keep you interested. Sadly the violence is a little bit too matrix and does not carry across the feeling of desperate fatigue and hard work of fighting in a shield wall. It also gets a little tiring seeing 12 Vikings with zero armour hacking through hordes of well armoured Saxons. Some great ideas though poorly executed in my opinion.

    There’s a plot, a plodding one, but no subplot. Little subtext. No depth. Nothing much happens and you wonder why you care it has. Its join-the-dots and not much more. A great shame with so much good writing to be had. Lazy.

    Really enjoyed this series. Story line is great and the scenery is spectacular. It's from an era which has not been revisited yet. Looking forward to season 2 - highly recommended
