  • AN INSULT

Geraldine was one of my favourite actors. Unfortunately she is AN INSULT to the MISS MARPLE character she comes across totally LOST in the part, awkward and ridiculous, not a bright old lady with a spark for working out the minds of a murderer. She is EMBARRASSING and Awfully GLUM. ALL WRONG!

This is dreadful. Agatha Christie would be horrified by this appalling mess. The stories are drawn out into painfully long 90-minute episodes; the screenplay has been modernised to the point of absurdity; and half of the actors are semi-skilled apes paying as professionals. As a Christie fan this makes my skin crawl. Try Poirot instead. It's well written, well acted and is a class way above this bizarre nonsense.
