Description

The hilarious new comedy from David Walliams about a dysfunctional staff room, unrequited love and chess club! Deputy Head of Science, Mr Church (David Walliams) has been at Greybridge School for 15 years. Disillusioned with teaching, he is about to resign after a particularly dramatic experiment with liquid nitrogen and 1000 ping pong balls is met with apathy by his pupils. However, the arrival of the new French teacher changes everything! Taking up her post following the tragic death of her predecessor, Miss Postern (Catherine Tate) is determined to make a difference in the classroom with new teaching methods – anyone for Vocab Tennis? PE teacher and would-be lothario Mr Gunn (Philip Glenister) is also interested in the new French teacher and is determined to “plough” Miss Postern – probably on Friday night when his mum is at seniors’ Zumba.

I didnt know what to expect from Big School as David Walliams and Catherine Tate are fabulous actors. Couldnt stop laughing at every single episode. The whole cast is perfect. Frances De La Tour and Philip Glennister especially need to be mentioned.

There are some laugh out loud moments but some bits are not so funny I would say stick with it and if there's a new series I will watch it again Hope this helps xx

but have now defected over to 'Bad Education' instead, which is much funnier. Shame as I really wanted this to work with such big comedic names behind it. 😕

This is not very funny at all and don't buy the episode pass as it does not work. I bought it and only got two episodes the rest does not automatically download but ask me to pay again per episode and no help from ITunes just a lot of links to resolve the problem myself.
  • Take the time to watch this

I disagree with the too soon, criticisms. This show is growing legs. It's witty. David Walliams with Catherine Tate are both perfect for their roles.
  • way too cheesy…

lack of plot, drama, or even comedy! it's like watching poor contestant from BGT - David, would you buzz yourself, please!

Probably one of the most un-funny things I've seen in a good while. The humour is childish at best. Both leads could do much better.

Terrible sitcom, what were Tate and Glenister thinking. Go to Sky 1 and watch Chickens- original british comedy and not some tired seen before format like this. Davis series 2 of Come Fly with Me please.

Not the funniest work by David and Katherine. Strong performances tho!
