Description

Ed Stafford is undertaking an extreme survival challenge. Washed up naked and alone on a desert island, south east of Fiji, he will only have his brain, bare hands, and a camera to keep him alive. He'll take no food, water, clothes, knife or tools, so from the moment he arrives he is in an extraordinary race to stay alive. As man can only last three days without water and three weeks without food, Ed will attempt to survive on the island - physically and mentally - for 60 days. Ed's survival will depend entirely on what the uninhabited island has to offer, as well as his common sense, as he seeks food, water, clothes and shelter. And it doesn't stop there: Will he also be able cope with the sweltering 30 °C temperatures, with no shelter or sun cream and then the freezing temperatures at night with no cover?

Where is the rest of this documentary series? When I caught it on TV it lasted weeks and weeks. And now it has been condensed down to 3 piddly episodes. Love the man, hate the daylight robbery.
  • Survival Documentary At Its Best.

The whole concept is brilliant and thoroughly intriguing. None of the flash survival gimmicks of similar shows. The only drawback is the shows editing for iTunes was done by an amateur as the title cards pop up where ad breaks should be. Definitely worth the money though!
  • Great Series - Badly Edited

This is a great story, but it's irritating as the TV Commercial Breaks and repetition of what's just occurred are pointless - who ever edited this short series for Apple should not be allowed any where near another potentially good 5 Star Show !
  • Better than any other "wilderness survival" programme you have ever seen.

Makes Ray Mears and Bear Grylls look like pusssycats. If you are into survival skills, this is the way to see and begin to understand the real challenges one might face. Absolutely incredible and worth the watch. Looking forward to the next one Ed, Up The Gate!
