    This is a great tv series but the picture quality is awful and the aspect ratio is terrible in places with actors heads cut off at the top. It doesn’t matter which device I watch it on either. Even altering aspect ratio settings on my tv doesn’t make any difference. I am now giving up purchasing films and tv shows on Apple as the quality and customer service when dealing with issues is second rate compared to other providers.

    Pretty solid release but why don't these have subtitles? the other standalone releases of blackadder have them but it's not present here :(

    First of all, I love Blackadder. However this is not the ultimate edition. On the dvd Of the same name... you have all four series remastered, and the Christmas carol..., Cavalier years, back-and-forth, baldrick‘s video diary, Blackadder rides again and extended interviews and costumes visited and audio commentaries as extras. The iTunes needs to be the same not piecemeal It would’ve been cool if some of the other stuff such as royal variety performance et cetera were also on the DVD or on the iTunes as an iTunes extra. Also would love another one off special. But I’m greedy. So I will have to think of another cunning plan!!!

    This is a really good series but where is Blackadder Back & Fourth and Blackadder The Cavalier Years? The collection isn't complete without them :)

    I gave this 4 stars as not possible to give 3.5, my reasoning is that they cannot call it a complete collection when they are missing out the 2000 special, "Back and Forth". Granted others such as the '88 Comic Relief special exist but are not what I would consider necessary to have a complete collection but would be a bonus. The Blackadder series is by far the best production of comedy from the BBC, and I would highly recommend buying it, but not from the App Store, go to Amazon and buy the deluxe box set, you will probably get it at around the same price and you will have physical copy and the 2000 special.

    A superb comedy series that stayed fresh by reinventing itself every few episodes the main character (Black Adder) maintains the continuity but never becomes stale as he is changed to suit the period he is in . Very very funny and yet with the best and most poiniant ending any series comedy or drama has ever had on television
