Description

This four-part series explores the wonders of the human body using spectacular graphics, based on real images, and the latest scientific research. Michael Mosley takes us on a fantastic voyage through the workings of the human body. Extraordinary scientific images of the body reveal its most unusual and bizarre workings in minute detail. Human behaviour is shown in super-slow motion, revealing elements of ourselves that we are completely unaware of, while footage of people around the world illustrates the universality of our experiences and how some can do amazing things, live in incredible places and push their physiology to the limits, all thanks to the highly evolved machine that makes we humans the world's most successful animal.

This series is brilliant. Brilliant graphics, explanations and real life examples of when it all goes wrong with the human body. But I still get the feeling that there is so very much more that could be covered yet, and for me at least, I was looking for more exciting episodes. 4 just wasn't enough!
  • Very Insightful

This series is amazing. Using top-quality animations and fascinating examples, each of these episodes descibe the constant and unappreciated changes happening within our bodies every minute. This series leads the viewer from the stages of childbirth to adulthood, the extremes of physical endurance and recovery, and conveys a deep passion for the world inside the Human Body.
