Tom and Barbara Good are an average couple who live next door to their best friends, Jerry and Margo Leadbetter. As Tom hits 40 he wakes up to the realisation that his life is going nowhere and he decides to drop out of the rat-race to become self-sufficient. But what will the neighbours think?
