Well worth the price, I wish I bought in HD. Well put together, and gives you the full story from beginning to current, highlights on Nasa's milestones and faults.

A very good television show, if at times slightly propaganda-ish in style. It seems more bent on impressing than informing, though I readily forgive it its infractions, because the final product is utterly entertaining. The HD quality footage is quite excellent. If you enjoy watching rockets take off (and sometimes fail), the take-off footage is alone worth the price of entry. But with it you get quite a bit of additional information and first-hand accounts, and learn some of the basic concepts of common sense and engineering that go into making projects like these into a reality. Excellent material, 5 stars.

Quite simply one of the best factual documentary series of all time. The incredible footage backed up with the commentaries of the actual NASA staff and crews is just amazing. I bought this, lost it when my PC crashed but had to buy it again.. The unseen footage and detailed history of the various space programs is perfectly presented. Best bought in HD as some of the scenes(particularly the shuttle during launch detaching the solid boosters) looks simply incredible. Well worth the money and a fitting tribute to the heroes of NASA. Awesome, simply awesome stuff.

Telling the story of NASA from project mercury to the ISS, this show is a fascinating, brilliantly made insight into those amazing missions using real stock footage, with a great narrator and interviews with the likes of Neil Armstrong and Jim Lovell. The soundtrack is great too - well worth the money.

This series is good, however why pay for something already paid for with my TV license?

This is one of those seminal television documantary series that can be used as a work of reference to be dipped into from time to time. Even as nothing more than entertainment they stand alone as a unique testement to the human spirit to explore, discover and to learn from these experiences. They were truly incredible days to witness these events as they happened for those of us older enough to remember them.
