Description

Security agency W.A.S.P. (World Aquanaut Security Patrol) has its headquarters at the top secret base of Marineville in the year 2065. Troy Tempest is the fearless Captain of the super-submarine Stingray. Stingray is a small nuclear powered submarine and the premier combat vessel of the World Aquanaut Security Patrol. Streamlined like a fish, it is capable of travelling at up to 600 knots submerged and 400 knots on the surface, and its honeycomb laminated substructure is strong enough to withstand the pressures of the deepest areas of the ocean. The craft's nuclear power plant, high speed, and deep diving capabilities enable global range. It can truly operate anywhere in the ocean. Stingray is normally crewed by two crewmen — Captain Troy Tempest and Hydrophone Operator George 'Phones' Sheridan.

  • Stand by for Action

Stand by for Action has to be my favourite episode. Troy has his nose pushed out when a film about Stingray and WASP is made and an actor is drafted in to play him. He spends most of the episode in a strop, very funny. As for the price £59.99 for the set it is the same as actual DVD box set retail price. A more competative price structure would help sales of the whole set, as it is, it is cheaper to buy the DVD online, but great if you only want to get a few selected episodes.

I loved this series, anyone who is a fan of thunderbirds will love this too i would recommend this complete series to all, BUT AT THIS PRICE? You are all better off buying the complete boxset out the shops for £25 then putting the episodes on ya ipod, Apple how on earth do you expect people to buy your product when its so over priced, are you just trying to sell to the rich folk of our society Fair prices means more customers,Ripoff prices equals people going somewhere else

I would love to buy this series on iTunes, but it is just too expensive. £59.99 from the iTunes Store and only £24.97 from Amazon.co.uk, that is £35 cheaper and includes postage and a physical copy that you can watch anywhere. This really needs sorting out. While £1.89 is fine for a one of purchase of a single episode, it is in no way OK if you want multiple purchases.

One star on price. Fab show, but not £60 fab. Get it if you can afford it. I'd buy it if it were cheaper.
