Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 2

What is this series all about, don’t waste your money, apart from a couple of episodes this is a really crap series

I’m afraid I’m going to have to disagree with the majority here and say that the potential and promise of season 1 has been squandered with some bizarre decisions. The crew continue to act like teenagers in a an American team drama with bad quippy remarks littered throughout, and not like Star Fleet professionals. Even Paris in Voyager was never this bad, and was punished when he crossed the line. He was an ex-con though. There’s no excuse here. Spock is used for ridicule, far too often. I would say that episodes do continue to have good premises but end up unsatisfactory. The musical and lower decks crossovers were low point personally, and the writers seem to have reverted to the poor writing of Discovery. It’s not for me, unfortunately. I’m glad many continue to enjoy it though so maybe I’m just no longer the target audience. It’s just a shame that one of the SNW writers famously said, “what if we just did star trek?!” But instead, it’s still far too like discovery for my liking.

Are we watching the same series? Where are the strange new worlds? The writers have run out of ideas - so sad to see this franchise die.

Look out for the lower decks cross over and musical. Ending episode is great.

This is such a great show - Star Trek at its most fun and exploratory. Fantastic cast, very creative writing and a very elastic scope and tone. 5 stars.

Mega season

Absolutely phenomenal season!! They gave everyone their moment to shine, the cast work so well together, and the storylines were fantastic! The only thing I didn’t like so much I can’t reveal because of spoilers…

This improves the quality of season one in every way possible. Every single episode is top class.
