Being a 1998 baby, I had no idea this was going on in this country... it made me so so so angry, sad and embarrassed. At least we are on the right move, but we have a lot of work to do! Anyways, this was probably one of the best seasons I’ve watched in a long time! 💪🏿

This is a fantastic series. Sometimes a hard watch but on the whole uplifting, inspiring and thought provoking. I laughed and cried and marvelled at the resilience of the people in the stories.

Another piece of garbage by Steve McQueen why do we keep throwing money and the likes of these so called film makers who continuously tell depressing stories rather than uplift and push forwards with new stories that uplift, maybe Steve McQueen and Edris can get a room together, lock the door and throw away the key, I say Edris as he is another Hollywood actor who bleeds us with depressive stories aka Yardie. Please.

A brilliant, thought provoking and truthfully scripted flashback to the brutality that first generation black people had to undergo at the oppressive hands of the legal system in the UK. Steve McQueen is a gifted director. Darcus Howe would be proud of this adaptation. A must, but very difficult watch!
  • Because sadly it has John Boyega in it.

He mugged his way through Star Wars and totally ruined Pacific Rim. He was dull in that cop film. I really like Steve McQueen films but he made a big mistake choosing this ‘actor’ for this.
