Description

  • Still entertaining but story lines are really getting desperate

    Don’t get me wrong i have loved this programme since it began. What’s not to like about a programme that has fun characters and is not splashed with innuendo, swearing and blood and guts murders in this day and age. That said the stories for this series are now getting a little desperate and average. Even I can work out the killer most weeks which says it all for someone like me ! Maybe one more series but then the BBC should kill off this for good. Latest series was average.

    For you who don’t see episode 3 on the series page. Go to purchased in itunes then chose the series 9 and episode 3 will be available. For no apparent reason episode 3 is not showing in the main series page under search. Thank you.

    According to iTunes it's down to the TV network provider to upload the correct Episode.... (you'll have to excuse their grammar) Please know that iTunes Store is just a store front that gives app content providers a shelf to sell their contents. Hence, only them has the ability to manage their contents, updates and functionalities. Generally, television networks provide Apple with the latest episode of each show within 24 hours of the episode airing in your particular country.... So there you have it. BBC again!

    Whilst you are being very polite in response to the complaint that you've taken my money and mis-delivered the goods by sending me Call the Midwife which is not what I paid for (otherwise I'd have bought that series - works for me) you are dragging your heels in providing the goods paid for. It's a bit pointless watching episode 4 without seeing episode 3 because it spoils the story. Provide the goods or return the money I've paid. Trading standards apply. Buck up!

    Just got this back from Apple, I especially like the part where they say theey can't promise a solution, also the idea of "weekly updates" doesn't sound too promising does it!! But on the plus side, they have "carefully logged it", phew, glad no one got hurt. ------------------------------------------------ I’d like to let you know that Apple is already aware of what’s happening. There were other reports referencing the same issue. Apple Support Advisors carefully logged these cases to ensure that product trends get the attention they deserve. As for right now, it is still currently under review.. While at this moment it is not possible for Apple to promise a solution or predict when any investigation will be complete, I would like to assure you that our Engineers do not stop in getting to the root cause of the issue, until issue resolution. I sincerely apologize for the amount of time this is taking. I’ll email you status updates weekly to let you know how the investigation on your case is going. Thanks for your patience.
  • Excellent Series I Love To Rewatch!

    Edited Original Review 26/01/20 5 stars for this excellent series I love to rewatch many times. Yes, episode 3 is the wrong episode & this happened in a previous series too: put up the wrong episode! But, as soon as I contacted Apple on my MacBook via My Account on the TV app My Purchases & Report A Problem With This Purchase telling them of the wrong episode they fixed it soon after. I always buy each series as it come out because I rewatch the episodes many times as I love this TV Show. But, as the new series don’t come with subtitles until later, about 6 months to a year, I always watch, at least the first time, each new episode on BBC iPlayer with subtitles before rewatching my purchased iTunes episodes that don’t have the subtitles yet. Then, when the subtitles become available, later, I re download the while series again. So, it took me some time to notice & contact Apple the last time. I noticed faster this time as I’m aware it can happen. I’ve just contacted Apple now & hopefully, now that they’ve aware of the problem, it’ll be rectified soon? I’m not sure if Apple read these reviews as simply stating the problem here dosen’t seem to get any results? Edit added 29/01/20 This time Apple’s response isn’t satisfactory & I just asked for a refund because of it! Apple said the episode is put up as the BBC gave it to them & told me to contact the BBC instead without telling me how to! They basically passed the fault to someone else & not doing anything about it themselves: telling me, in italics, to contact the BBC. I will see if I get my refund & add another edit to this review? I will not repurchase until this is sorted out, if ever, & ALL episodes are correct! Very poor customer response, this time, Apple! Edit added 30/01/20 Apple wanted me, in italics, to send a screen recording of the wrong episode being played: impossible, by the way, as a message popped up saying recording protected content is not possible each time I tried; used the video camera on my iPhone to record the episode playing on my iPad instead. They say they will refund me if I want to. I definitely do & will add further edits with an update on this. Apple are dragging their heels & making me go through hoops to get this sorted & it’s VERY irritating!

    The fact everyone is receiving the wrong episode is the reason you pay for a TV licence, so the BBC can do what ever it likes with no accountability.
