    Beautiful combination of both Raymond Briggs books, a particular favourite of mine to read over the Christmas holidays. Mel Smith is perfect in this irreverent and ever so slightly grumpy Santa role. The stories themselves introduced me to artists such as Monet, Van Gough and Dali so beautifully blended into the cartoons. The imagery and imaginings they spurred have stayed with me since pouring over them as a child. Well worth buying.

    Father Christmas likes to say blooming in front of every blooming thing and it is most definitely not blooming suitable for younger views. He also get drunk. We turned it off at this point.
