Description

Based on the bestselling bedtime book written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt follows the intrepid adventures of siblings Stan, Katie, Rosie, Max, the baby and Rufus the dog, who decide one day to go on an adventure in search of bears. Coming up against a host of obstacles the family ventures through whirling snowstorms, thick oozing mud and dark forests on their ambitious quest. But when Rosie and Rufus become detached from the rest of the party it looks like bear-hunting might not be such fun after all... Made with exquisite, hand-drawn animation by the team behind The Snowman and The Snowdog, the film is set to enchant a whole new audience with its story of perseverance, optimism and a love of nature.

  • Sold as a SERIES - but only ONE show?

While our granddaughter is thoroughly enchanted by this short tale - GrandPa and GrandMa were expecting further Episodes since the product was sold as a SERIES and certainly priced as such. I assume there is no more to come ... and that is disappointing !!!

A slightly biased review. This is the first bit of tv my one year old son has really gotten into and, having now watched it several (ok, more than several) times, we, as a family, absloutely love it. We love George Ezra's song at the end too.

We've watched this over and over. My 2 year old absolutely loves the book - this version was the first time she'd sat and watched a show without being distracted. Mesmerised by it. Brilliant adaption.

As far as the UK hype was concerned before Christmas, this was something to behold, yet it was poorly edited, scripted and it seems as though this was flung together. A great shame as the disjointed and bizarre ediitng left us, as a family, thinking what the hell was that about? The father's strange reactions to his daughter when in bed; letting her answer the door when they were supposed to be hiding, the surreal storyline making believable characters completely unbeleivable really ruined it.
