A pretty good watch, I really enjoyed the majority of the film. You do get to see a different side to Kurt - and Courtney's boobs are shown - a lot.

Its very good, artistic propaganda by Courtney Love, Kurt Cobain's murderer.
  • Not sure if it's for Nirvana fans

If you are a real Nirvana fan and have read bios and so on it's not really groundbreaking. I knew most of the stuff they were presenting about Kurts life. I wanted it to focus on the music more. I feel it doesn't focus on the music much. Like Kurt said 'It's all about the music' What were his influences? How did grunge enter the public conciousness? Who else was in the scene? What happened to the first Nirvana drummer? I felt it didn't answer important questions for those wanting to know intimate details about the music, it presents itself as easily digestible for the uninitiated, which most who grew up listening to the style of music aren't, either you are a big Nirvana fan or your not, most are in there 30-40s now. But the film did answer questions about his psychology and is really forthcoming in interviews from people close to him for people who want to know the 'real' Kurt Cobain, inc Courtney. It's more of a psychological study with cool montage and animation. If you are a music fan it's not going to stimulate your interest much.

For me the most incredible part is where Courtney comes into his life. There are some very personal family videos I can't believe are in this film. I noticed Frances Cobain was a producer in the end credits. Well worth a purchase.

I love how this is a story about his life, rather than the story of his death.
  • A great insight.

I was sadden by the home videos of kurt and Courtney. seems she was a real devil on his shoulder. Seems often the genius's of the world are the most troubled ones unfortunately. Anyway this film will send you on a roller coaster through all the emotions.

Wanted to like it. But a lot of it is just feedback with scribbles of journal entries. Doesn't show any of the fun side.

Excellent doc and so so sad how things turned out. xx R.I.P Kirk Cobain was an honour to see into parts of your life.
