  • Three films that work best if you watch the complete trilogy.

I really don’t understand all the hate that each of the three films get. I never read the books so I had no preconceived ideas, and a lot of the negative reviews were from people, who had probably not watched all or any of the films. If you watch all three films one after the other with an open mind and no preconceived ideas, you will find a great love story that flows from one to the other, to tell a full and complete love story. The acting is great, the cinematography is great and the soundtrack is great, plus there is genuine chemistry between the two leads. It was lovely watching a shy, naive young woman blossoming into a very confident, open minded, honest and loving wife. It was also great seeing a very wealthy powerful man, finally confronting the demons of his childhood, and learning to trust, learning to forgive, and growing as a person to become a trusting, loving, caring husband and father. I paid £9.99 for the trilogy and I am well chuffed. Three great films for an absolute bargain price.

Zero chemistry between the stars ruins the film obviously. It would help if there were some actors that could act.

Utter garbage. Not even the slightest bit edgy.

Enough with the one star reviews already. If you didn't like the book, it's fairly obvious that you aren't going to like the film isn't it? So why waste two hours of your life? However if you liked the book, the chances are that you will love the film. Dakota Johnson was the perfect Ana but I have to confess I would have liked to see Ian Summerhalder as Christian Grey. My only other gripe was Rita Ora as Mia Grey. She was supposed to be very tall and Rita Ora is titchy. Yet these are minor little gripes and overall I loved it. What I am sick of is the intellectual snobbery surrounding these books and films. Just because a woman likes these books does not make her stupid. I'll just point out here that I have three degrees and a diploma. Not stupid.

So bad I was laughing, then so boring I fell asleep. Zero chemistry, terrible dialogue, totally unsexy in every way. Talented actors in terrible roles.

Nothing happens. The sub is a whining pain in the neck, nobody would put that much effort into chasing her. One or two insights into BDSM but I had to watch it in 3 sittings just to get to the end because it was so boring.
