Such a moving film, it really opens up how terrible Alzheimers is. It must be terrible to watch your partner/family member deteriorate. Beautifully acted, defiantly worth a watch. Make sure you have some tissues beside you.
  • well acted, far from the reality of it

Great performances, but this was a heavily rose-tinted version of the reality of Alzheimer's. Julianne Moore's character stayed her lovely self until the end. Yes, she was forgetful, but she did everything anyone told her and was all smiles. A lovely adult child. Well, if people with Alzheimer's were like that, no-one would be in a care home. In reality those affected are often aggressive, stubborn and very difficult to deal with. This is a brutal desease and its consequences are much more far reaching than plain memory loss. These people are not "still Alice" or whatever their name is. They often turn into the worst version of themselves.

This film is a definite must-see. Quite emotional in parts, but such a thought provoking look at the crippling illness.
  • Amazing, truthful story

after reading the other reviews i thought this movie would have been better. the characters were one dimensional and I failed to connect with them. there is no sense of time in the movie so it is difficult to know how fast the disease progressed and therefore to care for alice. i didn’t shed a tear which i thought i would be crying buckets through this.

I liked this more than I expected to. Really moving, and sort of terrifying. Performances are great all round.
