Description

A young British soldier is accidentally abandoned by his unit following a riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Such a great and heartfelt movie! Loved every second of it. Jack was brilliant.

Just brilliant, gripping. A film everyone needs to see. Just wondering why hadn't I see this sooner.

I wasn't expecting that and the betrayal - ouch They build up the story nicely. Not often I give films 5 stars.

Really well made film, really don’t understand the poor reviews some have left.

This is about as good as it gets. It captures life that most people do not get to see. it is a film that could have been shot in almost any part of the world at war. Brilliantly cast, props and locations, all magnificent. This is what war is. Unforgettable film.

A visceral and immersive film experience which tears up the Hollywood rulebook – then uses it to light a Molotov – preferring instead to plunge you headfirst into a heaving, claustrophobic nighttime world. Filmmaking for the Call of Duty generation – but in the best possible way.
  • Great film, very realistic

I really wanted to like this film but everything was so utterly terrible.

iTunes should try to get "Contact" from the late 1970's it's far more accurate in its depiction of the troubles in Northern Ireland in 1972 and it's a true story. I served there in 1979 and this film brought back vivid memories of my personal experiences.

Low budget thriller - I’m guessing the least money was spent on lighting - with nothing really new to say.
