Description

Ten years ago, tragedy struck the Russell family, leaving the lives of teenage siblings Tim and Kaylie forever changed when Tim was convicted of the brutal murder of their parents. Now in his 20s, Tim is newly released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents' deaths were caused by something else altogether: a malevolent supernatural force unleashed through the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror in their childhood home. Determined to prove Tim's innocence, Kaylie tracks down the mirror, only to learn similar deaths have befallen previous owners over the past century. With the mysterious entity now back in their hands, Tim and Kaylie soon find their hold on reality shattered by terrifying hallucinations, and realize, too late, that their childhood nightmare is beginning again . . .

I think the people who give this 1 or 2 stars are even stupid or never watched the movie. Is this a great horror, no but it is something different that you would have to applaud. This is has to be up there as the top 5 best horror movie in the last 2 years.
  • Serious game changer right here...

To all the people that give this film a 1 star, you guys are out of your heads !!! Great script, awesome actors and very tight storytelling. The movie cuts back and forth between past and present, clever how they've managed to mix two parallel storylines from childhood to young adults. Just watch it.

A nice, twisty plot quite reminiscent of Triangle. Karen Gillan’s annoying as hell though! Found ourselves wishing for her early demise. Clapped when it eventually came.
  • Childish script ...

… unlikeable characters. 1 star. Time for Hollywood to kick out the 14 year old script writers and bring in somebody with training.

The equivalent of a TV movie...The trailer is the best part and it's just downhill from there.
  • I'm only giving it 1 because I can't give it 0

This film is the single most confusing thing that I have seen and was a complete waste of money. I am warning you now, do not waste near two hours of you life watching this film, you won't get it back. I am asking the director of this film to turn him self in to the police for destroying my mind with this ridiculous gobbledygook.

With so many horror movies attacking you constantly, it's sometimes difficult to find a diamond in the rough. This is a great effort, well acted I thought and intense. Karen Gillan's accent was nearly perfect considering her usually strong Scottish tones. Also importantly it's scary, another hard to find ingredient as aforementioned with the endless stream of dud horror. This one combined a slightly retro Poltergeist feel with the up to date Insidious style. I would recommend .
  • A bit overrated...

Firstly, the ending is far too predictable, i think i watched to the end in hope it wouldn’t be like that, but no. Second the evil object at the centre of events, starts messing with the characters perception of reality. Now, maybe its just me, but when you’re constantly second guessing if what your seeing is just another dream, then it just makes the whole experience very empty. The movie isn’t terrible, but i don’t think it warrants the great reviews I’ve seen elsewhere
