Description

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. Lucy also stars Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman.

This film is listed in the 4K section but only shows it as HD.
  • Don't go there. You'll kick yourself

Starts well and rapidly goes down hill. The plot explodes in ridiculous fashion way too early and and then has nowhere to go. This film reminds me of a pissing contest for 14 year olds with a hard on Scarlet. You'll kick yourself if you actually spend any money to see this dreadful movie. Its like a blunt pencil... totally pointless. Whatever happened to Luc Besson? The director of Subway, Nikita and Leon? Can't be the same guy. Is this what happens when you have to pay the bills to play with the big boys. Some restraint would have gone a loooong way.

Loved the idea of science fiction movie of Luc Besson, loved the approach to support the potential of human beings. Amazed by film mindset of Lucy by Scarlett and her five star performance in the film. Morgan was brilliant. Looking forward for similar true action powerful movies by Luc Besson.

This is my favourite film of all time, great music and lots of action
  • Philosophical

And excellent film and really explores some deep philosophy which I personally think is absolutely believable. It's pleasing to see how the film crosses two poles from "hated" at 1 star, to "loved" at 5 stars. I think that's the sign of something powerful and brave, attempting to challenge society

I accidentally almost rented this film and so cancelled before confirming and my money has been taken anyway. Absolutely ridiculous.
  • Two Stars

I give this movie 2 stars - 1 star for original storyline & 2nd star for keeping my attention. It starts off well enough, realistic & believable however it becomes entirely unbelievable once Lucy goes through 'the change' - becomes complete tosh after that point. An interesting idea but ultimately badly written/developed/executed.

Very very unfortunately the screenplay just didn't cohese because in its own right on the plot and actors m + f I was very curious and inticed but er not a lot more to say regards to the makers work, not sure what went wrong unless its what I would call noire to me but penedition rd and 2 other films like that when I was hoping it might be a bit like jumper and wanted. If anybody would like to have a discussion regarding like of any importance, not being rude rude but go back and do remake like the top 100 one!
