The Purge: Anarchy

The Purge had a great concept, all crime is legal for a 12 hour period in a distopia America. But the first film did not execute this film as good as it could. You had two great actors, Ethan Hawke and Lena Headley, who gave a great performance with the material they were given. But the film was ruined by the lack of tension and a weak story. The Purge Anarchy corrected the mistakes of the first film, and created a great tense and suspenseful thriller. Its ten times better than the first film, the acting was awesome from all the cast memebers and Frank Grillo was incredible. The story had improved greatly compared to the first film. And when the start of the 12 hour purge starts in the film, the suspense and tension is unrelenting until the final scenes. For those who like a great thriller or horror, this is a must see. This is a film that uses the its concept brilliantly.

I liked the first one, so I was excited about the Purge 2, I was not disappointed! Really good film full of tension and a few twists. Really makes you think what it would be like if this was real life! Well worth a watch!

Concept is such an interesting one, but poorly executed, still, better than the first.

If you enjoyed the first film, you'll enjoy this more. It has all of the tension, scares and action you could want from a sequel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In a nutshell this takes the premise of the original purge and expands on it. The action takes place over a much larger area, and it also gives a glimpse of the class divide and how the rich and powerful take advantage of this once-a-year event.

Absolutely amazing film! Made me jump though but would highly recommend to watch this film! An watch the first purge as well you will not be disappointed by either film
