Ignore what people are saying about it being awful. Its far from awful. Kutchers portrayal of the great man is fantastic. He really did his homework. You get engrossed into the movie straight away and to see how the biggest company in the world was born is great to watch. It captures all the drama how it was created, Sculley's involvement, Jobs' exit and return. For me its the best movie regarding Steve Jobs. Credit to all involved

Reading some of these reviews you'd think this is the worst film ever. If fact I found it very thought provoking and well worth watching. How can anyone expect to see a whole mans life and character condensed into 127 mins?
  • what a missed opportunity

Endless miserable tantrums, walking out of meetings - Jobs is unlovable. No public reactions to interesting products - no life in this film. Very poor.
  • Not that different!

Was expecting this to be an exceptional film, afraid it isn't. Whilst the actors are good some of the casting could have been better. Was expecting it to go more in depth. A good film to watch but nothing to write home about.

If you have the slightest interest or experience in running your own business you should find this captivating. If you also have a fondness for Apple Inc. and Jobs it should make very enjoyable watching. The pace is write and you forgive his less pleasant traits as you learn his goals and see where he gets to as a person in the end. Creators make real value, boardrooms struggle to get that, beautifully demonstrated contest and consequences. Love it. Part of our generation's history.

This is a great film, and shows the transition from a start-up to a much more developed company. Great acting as well!!

I did like this film very much. Only reason for 4 stars is that I felt more should have been included and the film should have been a little longer.

Ok it may not be entirely accurate but it gives you an idea of what happened. I think Kutcher is bloody good as Jobs. Anyone with an interest in Apple will love this film.
  • Enjoyable, particularly for Apple fangirls

I was a little hesitant about renting this in light of the many negative comments but I decided to trust the viewers instead of the critics and I am glad I did. I smiled through a lot of this film and generally found it entertaining, informative and sometimes moving. It really helps if you know a bit about Apple but then I guess it helps if you know a bit about motor racing if you are watching a film about that. Or any subject really. I thought Ashton Kutcher was impressive in the title role. He has clearly grown as an actor. Would happily recommend to some of my friends though I know others would be bored....
