Description

At 15, Adèle (Adèle Exarchopoulos) doesn't question it: a girl goes out with boys. Her life is turned upside down the night she meets Emma (Léa Seydoux), a young woman with blue hair, who will allow her to discover desire, to assert herself as a woman and as an adult. In front of others, Adèle grows, seeks herself, loses herself, finds herself...

To make a long story short... (took two days to watch because I got bored 1h.30 in to it, but felt, as I had rented it, I should watch it all. What it needs is a good amount of editing to get to about 1h.30m. Too much is irrelevant and unnecessary. Excellent acting from leading roles. Poor with all the rest.

This film is by far, the best film I have ever seen. The acting is outstanding, every word sounds genuine. The story is emotional and detailed. It's everything you could hope for and more. This is one of few films that I know I will go back to time and time again. It makes me feel every emotion you could imagine. It's hard to keep an audience for a film so long, but to fit everything in this film into just 3 hours and it still be so emotional and raw is truely incredible. The film could have gone on forever and I would have kept watching. Absolutely breathtaking.
  • Rather touching

Much was made of the graphic images and the actors rebuke of the direction methods and whilst I have great sympathy for the ladies concerned this film is however a touching and highly emotional piece of work. If truth be told the scenes of nudity aren't required, this films stands on its own merits and performances of the lead cast!

By far one of the best film.. Great cast and genuine acting, can't stop thinking about it. I surely Recommend it. And It's not as explicit as they say

If like me, you think that this film will be a pretentious, overwhelming piece of French indie bumpf, it's understandable. But I was wrong and so are you. Could it have been less than three hours? Possibly, but don't let that put you off, you won't notice it. Intriguing, raw and surprisingly easy going.

A stunning, heart felt film with great performances. It’s very long but I loved being part of this journey. A real, raw piece of cinema with beautiful performances

I don't recommend anyone watch this after a painful break up. I fell in love with Lea Seydoux and I cried for days after. It's just such a beautiful film though. And it proves, love doesn't always make us happy.
