Missing English subtitles for the hearing impaired.

I really wanted to buy this great film that won 2 Oscars, but I cannot for the reasons below...
Another example of a film studio selling a Digital film that is completely different and substandard to the physical Disc/s that are sold. The physical Disc/s sold of ‘Lincoln’ have English subtitles for the hearing impaired included, along with Extras and a Dolby 7.1 soundtrack and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Why does this Digital film have no Extras and no English subtitles for the hearing impaired? Why is there only a Dolby 5.1 soundtrack? Why is the Dolby 7.1 soundtrack and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack missing?
A Digital film should be sold with EXACTLY the same content that is on physical Discs that are sold! Film studios are selling more and more films with the absolute bare minimum on them. It is either “Pure laziness” (which I doubt) or it is because they want to sell the same film to everyone again, once they have added the English subtitles, the extras and the correct soundtracks. I believe it is the latter!
Do film studios think that the customers buying Digital films are too stupid to notice, that they are being sold Digital films that are substantially different/inferior to physical Discs being sold?
‘Film studios’ should do the right thing, and only sell copies of both physical Discs and Digital films that have identical film formats, identical soundtracks, identical Extras, Audio Description for the blind and partially sighted, and identical English subtitles for the hearing impaired.
‘Netflix’ very quickly realised, that by regularly adding new films and adding subtitles to all the films, that they gained more long term customers and consequently more profits.
Good but way too long.

Good performances from most of the cast. Enjoyed it. But no film needs to be 2 1/2 hours long.
Too good!

I saw this first at the time it was releasd to the big screen, I enjoyed it then, drawn into arguments of the practical measured against the idealistic, the framing of law, the exceptional allowed the President in war time, the need for measures that would endure during the subsequent and anticipated peace, slavery versus emancipation versus equality, a film that encourages thought and excitement through thought - for those who are looking to pause a moment, to understand that life is complex, history likewise, I recommend it, for those looking for a less nuanced portrayal of history, for binary view, perhaps not. Lincoln struggles to emancipate the slalves, whilst the South seeks peace, a race, as ends debate with each other, to end the war and lose an opportunity or to pursue that oppertunity even at the cost of a prolonging it, to seek emancipitation or equal rights, the desire for one held in check by a political reality that was reluctant to allow it, a numbers game. Very much enjoyed.

I'm a suprised at the negativity of the customer reviews, calling this film slow, boring. This is a bio-picture of one of the most important moments in WORLD history, never mind American History. I loved the film, told at a realistic pace, this isn't an action packed fast paced film, it is the acurate, moving, dramatic moment in history, telling the story of how Polotics were played in the early days of demoracy, reminding us how we have arrived at the present day through emense struggle and fortitude. DDL gives the performance of his career, and was well deserving of his Oscar. A moving story, told by a brilliant cast.
Not for entertainment, only for education.

If I was studying American Politics then this film would be great. As a normal Film enthusiast who was just searching for a good historic film, I was really bored by it's slow pace and non stop dialogue. I really dislike putting the film down, every production aspect was great but as for entertainment there was none - most documentaries jazz it up to keep audiences engaged, this is not so if this precise topic is your Interest and would like to imagine yourself actually there using all 5 senses...this film is the closest you'll get if not, £5 wasted

Why no English subtitles? I am hard of hearing plus the volume is below par.
Disappointing.
Highly Enjoyable

I must say, I found this to be a fine film indeed. I can understand why some failed to like this, there is no action, in fact little of much of anything really, lots talking about the 13th amendment to abolish slavery in the states. This is not unlike a fly on the wall scenario in the White House during Lincoln's attempts to get his bill across. This is very much like a costumed version of the tv show The West Wing.
Sad to say Lincoln doesn't get to to kill any vampires in this movie.

Audio is far too quiet, having to focus on what was being said really spoilt what should have been a very enjoyable film - doesn’t anyone at Apple check for the simple stuff like - ‘Wonder if we should check to make sure people can hear this?’ Would have got 4/5 stars if I could have heard it!
