Not bad. This film is a lot better than I expected it to be. The performance from all the cast were amazing, especially Hugh Jackman. The songs were uplifting, funny and emotional. The cinematography was very good as well. The story was actually quite good. The only flaws I have e with this film is that it is a bit long and they sing WAYYYY too much, which can get a bit tiresome. But not a bad film, overall.

How did this film become so lauded. It was the most over rated film of the year. Every song is about death. How Anne Hathaway won the Oscar for being in the film for 15 minutes and only three scenes is beyond me. I fell asleep halfway through it was that dire! So typical of the academy to nominate a film that is full of over sentimental rubbish. Avoid

A couple of stars for some of the ‘minor’ roles but totally ruined by the miscasting of Jackman, Crowe, Bonham-Carter and Ali G. One more star for the sets which were excellent. Have sold my Blu-Ray copy as I couldn’t bear to watch it again. Try the 25th Anniversary recording if you want singers (with the exception of Nick Jonas) as it is a musical, after all. The 10th Anniversary is also excellent but not available on iTunes (at least in the UK). An opportunity wasted.
