    Maybe there was a huge hype or maybe most people don't understand its beautiful simplicity. Its an amazing movie that I watched probably 15 times now (and I rarely watch a movie twice). Sad that there won't be any sequel.

    Great adaptation, great cast and great visuals. I’d heard the ‘flop’ reports around this film, honestly having watched it with my son a few times now I’d say this will probably go the same way as Shawshank and just sneak up on people (remember Shawshank tanked on release). Any way just an opinion, but we REALLY enjoyed it as a family. Five stars and then some!!!!!! Disney, I suggest you dig deep and make a sequel, but maybe hire a new marketing team! :)

    I watched this film in the cinema when it was first released and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, subsequently, and much to my dismay, I came to learn that it tanked at the box office and is widely considered to be a "flop". This is simply outrageous! It is a great film. In contrast with the mundane action overkill type films released by Hollywood every year, John Carter is a hugely entertaining, sci-fi action adventure story with heart, humour and dazzling visual effects. I watched it again recently and my opinion stands! A film Disney should be proud of!
