The Plank [1967] is a silent comedy starring Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper. It tells the very humourous tale of two workmen who, armed with their planks of wood, cause mayhem pretty much wherever they go.

Don't get me wrong, by modern 'comedic' standards its very twee and predicable in places. But let your mind play innocent and enjoy it for what it is. A well constructed British humoured comedy.

Here British comedy legends Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper take the M Hulot role through their misadventures in what should be the simple task of getting a single wooden plank from the timber merchant to their building site.
