Well its not funny, its not scary, exciting, or sad. Its not a movie for the average cinema goer. Its just a very simple story of one mans death, with fantasy thrown in. In a strange kind of way I liked it. The characters were very real, even though they are living a much slower pace of life to most of us in the west, and the pace of the movie reflects that. It made me want to live a more simple lifestyle, and reminded me of how important loved ones are. It also reveals a connection to nature which is all but lost in the west, and its something I miss about my own upbringing, and a spiritual aspect to the culture of Thailand that is so different from ours. It explores the meaning of life and death in a very unique way. If you like to think about what you have seen, and don't mind a slow paced movie that never threatens to entertain, then this is a good movie for you. If you want belly laughs and situation comedy, forget it.
