Description

From Oscar-winning writer William Peter Blatty comes this long-anticipated follow-up to his Oscar and Golden Globe- winning horror classic, "The Exorcist." Oscar, Emmy and Golden Globe-winner George C. Scott ("Patton," "Rage") is a haunted homicide detective who is confronted by the apparent return of a brutal serial killer he helped send to the electric chair fifteen years earlier -- on the same day as the exorcism that killed his friend, Father Damien. Part detective story, part theological mystery, and an unforgettable study in terror. Co-starring two-time Emmy-winner Ed Flanders (TV's "St. Elsewhere"), Oscar-nominee Jason Miller ("The Exorcist") and Oscar-nominee and Golden Globe-winner Brad Dourif ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest").

Always had a lot of time for this. Pretty great supernatural/murder mystery flick with strong connections to the first film, this is infinitely rewatchable due to some great performances, good pacing and the requisite chills. Contains two genuinely frightening scenes. The voice in the confession box and THAT jump scare. Great stuff.

This is a great movie and one of the best jump scene ever
  • Theatrical cut, not the directors cut

I may be in the minority here, but I felt the DC of this (Legion) was awful. This fortunately is the theatrical cut. Of course, would have been better to have the Arrow Blu-ray version here with both cuts an loads of great extras
