Description

Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins (Happy-Go-Lucky; Vera Drake and TV dramas Fingersmith and Persuasion) stars in ‘HAPPY EVER AFTERS’, a screwball comedy in which two weddings collide, with hilarious results. Sometimes the happiest day of all can be the most heartbreaking. Freddie (Tom Riley) and Maura (Sally Hawkins) are getting married, only not to each other. While Freddie is entering his second marriage with the neurotic Sophie (Jade Yourell), Maura's motives for marrying Wilson (Ariyon Bakare) are more for money than love. Then, when the two wedding parties end up at the same reception venue, the house of cards looks set to collapse on the newly weds, guests and all. With a manic mix of romance, deception, sex and love, HAPPY EVER AFTERS offers something fresh and new to the wedding movie genre.

OMG this was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Bad with a capital B and NAFF. I don't know how the actors stood acting it, especially Sally Hawkins, I rented (thank God not bought) this movie, based on seeing her in Happy-Go-Lucky, which a sweet film, BUT this was cringe making, we switched off after 40 mins. Do not buy it, its awful.

Simply terrible. Not sure I can add much more to what the other one-star reviewers have written, except to say that this film is an insult to one's intelligence. In no way worth 99p.

Really poor film, very boring with little continuation and the premise is probably more suited to a one hour TV programme. I was seduced by the 99p rental, however don't even waste this!
