Description

Legendary producer-director Howard Hawks teams with two equally legendary stars, John Wayne and Robert Mitchum, in this classic Western drama. Mitchum plays to perfection an alcoholic but gutsy sheriff who relentlessly battles the dark side of the wild West, ruthless cattle barons and crooked "businessmen." The Duke gives an equally adept performance as the sheriff's old friend who knows his way around a gunfight. Filled with brawling action and humour, El Dorado delivers the goods. James Caan and Ed Asner co-star.

A classic cowboy movie by a literal definition, And a movie that other westerns are compared to. A buddy movie where they help their friend who are the underdogs fight off the "bad guys" who out number them, suffice to say they out whit and out skill them in a typical 'John Wayne' style that only he, and a very few others could pull off, a family movie that has aged well, and will put you their with them in the town as it goes on.

Howdy partners! One of my favourite westerns ever. This is what I would call a true western classic. A fine plot and storyline and a cast which never faulters. The perfect film to kick back and relax to on a lazy sunday afternoon.
