Description

Five years in the making and told using the Sun as a guide, the remarkable breath-taking story of Earth is filmed with high definition cameras to create an unforgettable journey through the changing seasons and daily struggle for life across our planet. We follow a year on earth joining our fellow creatures, as they battle to raise their young in a world that is rapidly changing. Narrated by Patrick Stewart and with music composed and conducted by George Fenton, Earth offers us a chance to recognise and celebrate the beauty of our planet; whilst at the same time it serves as a timely reminder of its' ecological fragility and the creatures that live on it. From rarely seen stunning landscapes to the smallest details in the lives of our best loved, wildest and most elusive creatures, Earth combines rare action‚ unimaginable scale‚ impossible locations and intimate moments among our planet's best–loved‚ wildest‚ and most elusive creatures. All life on Earth is built on chance and powered by the sun, but the delicate balances of our world are faltering as the planet struggles to support our growing demands. This is the time to take stock of what we have and what we stand to lose.

This is one of the greatest masterpieces ever. Yes, it does talk about climate change, but that is a GOOD thing! It Is films like this that make people act against the greedy fat cats exploiting earth for a cheap, temporary profit. And some people say all the footage is from TV series planet earth, but if you read the print correctly you will see that this is the film adaption of planet earth, made by planet earth, not a rip off. I wish they had mentioned the moon though. An entertaining and moving film, it is a must see.

This documentary has the exact footage of Planet Earth and Home. Really disappointed with this documentary. I thought it would come up with different angle of perspective and something i never seen before. For me i prefer Planet Earth because of David Attenborough narrated that documentary. He gives really useful explanation about the mother nature and the process behind it. I would not buy or rent this well copied documentary. Well thats just me

Nothing you haven't already heard or seen... Pretty disappointing, and yet more propaganda for global warming. Go for David Attenborough's LIFE series, or one of the other documentaries by him, as they contain more original material.

I bought this on blueray and it's unforgetable. Sure they got a few frames from planet earth but to be honest, you could say they've remastered it. Oliver ;)

....I watched the trailer,.. I bought it,.... I watched a lllllittle of if, & I was Ecstatic that I bought it! Such a joyous & beautiful documentary! This is the type of video that should be shown to children, @ home, And @ school; stick This on a big screen, & add a Kick-A*s 5.1 system (or Above:). ...This Planet provides the best visual & audio shows... I am immensly greatful that people have made this video, and that I got to watch it; I can imagine How greatful the people who contributed to this video must feel. I'd loved to have been a camera-man/photographer for this video, @ the top of the list of 'best jobs'. ..In short, Spectacular!

Just from the trailer it looks to me like every clip they used from taken from the documentary Planet Earth, which is terrible, why would they be so unoriginal??? Planet Earth is awesome though, so I'm not dismissing it on the whole, just on the basis that it seems a bit of a rip off.
  • No HD other than Apple TV

This is a beautiful piece of cinematography that shows just how stunning yet vulnerable our planet is. I cannot knock the content on this film, but I as this is the first time I've downloaded a movie, I was bitterly disappointed with the resolution. The image on fullscreen covers about 50% of my macbook pro screen and when linked to my HD TV or Apple Cinema Screen it's not worth the effort even when manually expanding the window. A stunning film, but definition goes nowhere to doing it justice. If you can get HD on Apple TV, why not here? Another rip off!
