Five college friends head off to the woods for a weekend of drinking, partying and fooling around. But as they sit at their campfire the first night, a blood-soaked hermit approaches them. This is one of the best horrors I've ever seen, not because of the scares (because there weren't many) but because of the characters and the storyline. Rider Strong was really impressive in this and the rest of the cast were pretty convincing. Bert and deputy winston were funny which helped add humour to the gore

a dull and uninspired film. there is a small comic twist at the very end and thats the only enjoyable part of the movie for me. this was not scary if your looking for a horror film look elsewhere.

This was another movie I really wanted to see. I watched it last night at like 11 o'clock. I expected it to be scarier than it was but it was really entertaining. It was gory fun that had funny jokes and some likeable characters. I liked how it was set in the woods and that they didn't turn into zombies like in most other movies with viruses. My Rating 7/10

Cabin Fever starts off as your typical teenage horror film, with a group of teenagers have just graduated and plan to celebrate in a cabin located deep in the woods. But unlike many teenage horror films, there is not a maniac wearing a mask waiting to kill them off one by one. The killer is a lot more unusual that that, the killer is a flesh eating virus which comes from the water. Although the concept doesn't seem the scariest or most interesting, all of the infecting scene are really gruesome and gory. The cast is brilliant and the overall plot of the film is good. There is going to be a sequel to the film, called Cabin Fever Spring Fever, with Rider Strong reprising his role as Paul. But i don't know how the sequel will compare to the this film, hopefully it will have a great story behind it. Overall a good horror, but there are no jump-out-of-your-seat moments, this film gets its horror from the gore of the flesh eating virus and the effect it has on the infected.
