Description

Admiral Kirk's defeat of Khan and the creation of the Genesis planet are empty victories. Spock is dead and McCoy is inexplicably being driven insane. Then a surprise visit from Sarek, Spock's father, provides a startling revelation: McCoy is harboring Spock's living essence. With one friend alive and one not, but both in pain, Kirk attempts to help his friends by stealing the U.S.S. Enterprise and defying Starfleet's Genesis planet quarantine. But the Klingons have also learned of Genesis and race to meet Kirk in a deadly rendezvous.

"Remember" The word we all came to love. The joining of Star Trek 2 & 3 really makes this extra special and the scenes of the enterprise in and out of space dock is epic on all scales. These films are trly masterpieces and emotion of David dying and Kirk's reaction filled with emotion. This is one of the true crown jewels especially the Mc Coy, spock scene of Mc Coy admitting his true feelings

When I watched The Search for Spock, I thought it would be really rubbish. It actually turned out really well! Shame about the trailer, it wasn't that exciting. I practically screamed at the end of the film! Spock...ALIVE😂!!!!!!!!!

... Star Trek! The Search for Spock was an awesome follow-up to Wrath of Khan. Wonderful acting and a great story. I was so happy at the end like 'yay Spock's alive!!!' (Sorry, spoiler)
  • Good film, very much in the spirit of the original tv series.

This is worth a watch as the fight at the end is cinematic gold. If Kirk used some of the moves against the Gorn in the episode Arena, this would have 5 stars. I do prefer the original film, but this is great.

...with Andy Bird. I love all things Trek but this copy seriously suffers from poor digital transfer. Colours look dated, sound isn't the best. Disappointing.
  • Awesome Movie. Bad Quality.

This is one of the worst film to digital transfers i've ever seen. It is atrocious. I would return it if I could. The quality is reminiscent of a pirate video and even the audio is noisy and compressed (It looks like a 'Cam'). Even hitchcock movies look far, far better than this. It would have been wiser to wait for a remaster and stock iTunes with some of thebetter ST movie that are currently not here.

Star Trek III benefits hugely from liberating Kirk and crew from their traditional roles as military explorer types, and offering them as mavericks, demonstrating the depths of their loyalty to fallen comrade Spock by unquestioningly putting their careers and lives on the line. Not one of the best loved films, but with Christopher 'Doc Brown' Lloyd restraining his manic comic style as a power hungry Klingon, there are such memorable scenes as the stealing of the Enterprise from spacedock, the heartstring-tugging murder of Kirk's son, and a fleeting but explosive battle with the elegant Klingon Bird of Prey.
