Love Lies Bleeding

the trailer lends the belief you will be watching a modern day retelling of Thelma and Louise. however this is completely different to the actual film. instead you follow the leads as they stay in their local town. Ms Stewart acts to her usual high levels but seems focused on being as g a y as she can be as if trying to wash the last remnants of hetro from her. Director Rose Glass who has a fantastic directoral debut with Saint Maud fumbles parts of the film with some oddly realised fantasy elements which dont gel with the rest of the film. the script is clunky at times and makes for a disjointed film. a definite backward step for Ms Glass. I cannot understand why this film garnered such good press.
