    Such an underrated film! More of a family struggle than an all out horror. But done with emotion, & Patrick Wilson delivers on his directional debut. Knowing the franchise as well as even James wan himself. Had to sing its praises, with so much negativity around this one.

    Cheesemongers deal in fermented milk solids less stinky than this dialogue. My heat rate never raised above baseline. I hate it. I hate that I paid for it. I hate that it was made. I’d bury every copy in an oil well if I had the energy but instead I’m going to drink to forget this mediocre drudgery.

    This whole movie was basically a catch you up with all the previous ones building you up to an ending which made literally no sense at all and just did things for the sake of “that’ll look cool”. It it was £1 then give it a watch but otherwise avoid like plague.

    Well executed with a good mix of jump scares and tension build up. Total nonsense of course, just like the earlier films but a good 90 minutes of fun.
