Description

'Evil Dead Rise' marks the return to the iconic horror franchise, written and directed by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground). The film stars Lily Sullivan (I Met a Girl, Barkskins), Alyssa Sutherland (New Gold Mountain, Vikings), Morgan Davies (The End, Storm Boy), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence) and introducing Nell Fisher (Northspur). Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, 'Evil Dead Rise' tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable. 'Evil Dead Rise' is produced by long time franchise producer Rob Tapert (Ash vs Evil Dead, Don't Breathe) and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and cult legend and 'Ash' himself, Bruce Campbell.

    I’m sick to death of iTunes USA getting cream of the crop, and we just get the scraps! 🤬. Its a good film, but sounds dubbed over when using air pods.

    I’ve watched many horror films and I’ve got to say this is one of the worst horror films I’ve ever watched.It’s too dark for a start,it’s not scary to me and not very well acted

    Switched off in disgust. Watching nothing but a gore fest trying to shock the audience. Turned my stomach didn’t entertain nor impress. Rubbish.

    Was looking forward to this but there was only a 5 second cheese grater scene that made me cringe. I would wait till this is in the bargain bucket before purchase & wouldn’t recommend renting. Very disappointing considering the hype!

    I’m not the biggest horror fan but I really enjoyed the over the top gore in this. Good performances all round and effects. The claustrophobic setting worked well too.

    So glad this is finally out to buy and at a great price. This is an extremely brutal and entertaining horror film which is full of suspense. Enjoyed the last Evil Dead remake? Don’t stop there and give this a go, you won’t be disappointed with this very well shot and thought out horror flick.
