I thought this film was fabulous. I watched it long before all the Oscars, and went into the cinema totally blind as to what to expect, beyond it being a “multiverse movie”. Suffice to say I was not disappointed, it’s a bonkers, feel-good, sci-fi, martial arts epic that’s almost impossible to describe in a brief synopsis. It’s a totally unique film full of great performances, great action sequences, and very funny surreal humour. The only downside to this iTunes version is the inexplicable exclusion of any extras in the U.K. which is a bit annoying, especially seeing as it looks like we won’t be getting a physical release any time soon, if at all, on these shores. But that aside, the film is excellent and well worth the watch.

Confused and incomprehensible film and really boring. I switched off half way and can’t bring myself to finish it. Oscar-worthy? NO

What a stupid pathetic film…. It is boring, very irritating and makes no sense! …. Keeps jumping all over the place….. Horrible movie, no real story, a rambling mess….. Every film character, is forgettable and all are very very annoying….. God knows how or why, the idiots at the Oscars, gave this movie, the best picture award and all the other awards it received… The worst film award for 2022 is what it deserves! …. How Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis won Oscars for best actress and supporting actress is beyond me….. The whole film is nonsense, a total mess…. Don’t waste your time and money on this horrible movie…. No Stars is my award….

I'm trying to be positive, but there isn't much to be positive about ..... OK, it's strange. It's also tedious and I felt nothing for the characters. I rented it, and to be honest I came away feeling conned. I watched Banshees of the Inisherin last week. I know it's a completely different movie, but there you could understand all the fuss. This, I really cannot fathom the plaudits.
  • Good, but best picture?

It’s a fun mess that deserves a few viewings, yes. But best picture? Hey, this is the same Academy that nominated Mad Max 4 for best picture.
  • Okay but not as earth shatteringly good as we are being told

It’s good enough to watch in a single sitting bit you’ll not watch again whilst pretending to have loved it (because everyone else supposedly did). Just an average film with an albeit interesting premise.
