One of the weaker films in the wizard it world but still enjoyable. It’s a shame that the series has been cancelled as I would love to have seen how it ended.

I love the Harry Potter films, they have great story telling at their heart. I really wanted to enjoy the Fantastic beasts series of films. Sadly they are poor in every regard. There is an over dependence on the visuals and sometimes too much cgi content does more harm than good. Some of the performances are good though. But in my opinion these films really lack the care and attention to story telling and character development. I understand if this review upsets any die hard Potter fans, but they seem like quick profit projects that have most of the investment in post production effects and not wonderful scripts.
  • Plot holes and desperation. (SPOILERS)

So… have been hesitant to watch this purely because the last instalment was equally as terrible as this one, maybe even less so. While I am happy to see the story has dropped a lot of the desperate acts to make us remember the Harry Potter story from the last film this cannot save this film or indeed the FB film series. The film still holds serious plot holes such as the desperate choice to make Credence be Aberforth’s son… “what?”. It makes no sense to the later story of Aberforth. As a whole this film and indeed the series has lacked depth and proper thought while being filled with plot holes. Cannot see the two more films originally planned by JK Rowling, perhaps she’s too busy with her new controversy and old school ideologies.

The story just lacked depth. Its easy watching and funny in parts but it's missing soooo much great story building potential. The character building is poor, such a shame as these films could have been the back story we all wanted from the Harry Potter franchise.
  • Good story

It was quite slow , and dark sometimes it was hard to see things and sadly it missed Johnny depp villain part . But overall there was room for improvements all throughout the movie.

You got no Turkish subtitles for 80 millions people speaking but Greek subtitles for 15 million people meh! What a racism!
  • Imagine Harry Potter on a budget

Sadly just lacks the sparkle of previous films. Feels like it’s been done on a tiny budget with acting and special effects just feeling underwhelming. We have loved every film in this genre, until now. Such a shame.
