Always liked the movie. What I loved here was the 55m doc - especially Sharon Stone who was open, candid, genuine and believable when she talks about the impact of the role had on her in a in a pre ‘me too’ movement age. Good for you Sharon, and great retrospective from all the rest of the team behind this 90s gem
  • I hope my HD copy doesn’t get the remastered 4K upgrade.

A great film that almost everyone remembers for one scene. I hope my HD copy does not get the free remastered 4K upgrade, because my HD copy has English CC subtitles and this 4K film has no English subtitles of any kind. At some point in the future this 4K film will be sold with English CC subtitles, so that people that need English subtitles will buy it again. You will see! 4 stars for the HD version that has English CC subtitles. 1 star for the remastered 4K film because it has removed the English CC subtitles. @Prime1976… Apple made a deal with all the film studios, so that Apple themselves could promise EVERYONE, that EVERY HD film purchased would be given a free 4K upgrade when they became available. It was to encourage more people to buy the Apple 4K TV and to buy more digital films. Physical Blu-ray films can be kept by your family when you die, BUT, digital films and anything else on your Apple account will be completely removed when you die, and cannot be passed on to another family member. It has nothing to do with being an entitled generation! It is about Apple keeping and honouring their promise of a free 4K upgrade for ALL purchased HD films. If anyone purchased a HD Blu-ray film from a shop or online, and was promised a free 4K Blu-ray film when it was available, I’m sure they would be asking for the free 4K Blu-ray film that they were promised. Anyone that says they wouldn’t, is either a liar, an idiot, or both… or in a tiny minority that wouldn’t care.

I too bought the HD version a year ago, it’s a brilliant film and beautifully shot. Sharon Stone is great in this as is Michael Douglas. Watched the trailer and can’t really see any difference to be honest on 55” Bravia

  • Another relisting RE:Prime 1976

On the plus side our old copies might get upgraded. The reason people get ‘funny’ about this is because Apple literally committed to free 4K upgrades to existing movies when they annouched 4K movies on the iTunes Store; it’s why many film fans with huge physical movie collections decided to invest in the Apple movie echo system.
  • Stop complaining about re-listed films

Why are so many people quick to jump in and moan and whinge about films being re listed. 9 times out of 10 your old copy gets upgraded for free anyway a couple of weeks after the new one comes out. Even if it doesn’t you can still watch your old HD copy. You don’t get a free UHD blu ray when a film is re released because you bought the previous HD disc so why are people so entitled they feel EVERY film they buy on iTunes should be upgraded to 4K for free! I think we are lucky that so many films have been free upgrades. If I worked for a film company I’d remove and relist a film every time as it costs money to upgrade films to 4k so why should everyone on iTunes get it free. The entitled generation.
  • Great film but relisted?

Love this film but re-listed for 4K preorder, let’s hope the copy I brought couple of years back gets the upgrade? 🤞extras would be nice also 😉
