Description

Academy Award winner Russell Crowe stars in Unhinged, a timely psychological thriller that explores the fragile balance of a society pushed to the edge, taking something we’ve all experienced - road rage - to an unpredictable and terrifying conclusion. Rachel (Caren Pistorius) is running late to work when she has an altercation at a traffic light with a stranger (Crowe) whose life has left him feeling powerless and invisible. Soon, Rachel finds herself and everyone she loves the target of a man who decides to make one last mark upon the world by teaching her a series of deadly lessons. What follows is a dangerous game of cat and mouse that proves you never know just how close you are to someone who is about to become unhinged.

Ridiculously violent for the sake of it. The most predictable plot. I watched it on Sky and I’d be seriously pi55d if I’d paid money for this rubbish.
  • A cautionary tale?

A thrilling psychopathic road movie, not seen the likes of this tension since the original “The Hitcher”.

Terrible film; waste of money purchase. One dimensional and predictable; deeply implausible and an irritating heroine who spent most of her time when driving (that’s most of the film) looking behind her...
  • Fast paced

This film was a lot more violent than I expected. Crowe in a different role and with an attempted American accent. It’s a little predictable but fun and tense. There are a number of scenes that were like “omg”. It’s one of those love it or hate it movies.
  • So disappointingly poor .. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Been waiting for this film for months .. Russell Crowe - surely going to be a cracker, great watch & suspense .. 🙄 all of us watching were just rolling our eyes .. I had rage from knowing I’d paid for the film!! (Fortunately I didn’t take it out on anyone else!!) .. this film had the potential to be really good but totally lost it from the blatant violence, killing in public scenes .. was far too extreme & wasnt edge of your seat - suspenseful, but rather - hurry up & end .. even that was pants! 💤 .. save yourselves - watch something else 👍
  • Very, very, very disappointing

Do not be fooled by the opening credits of this film. You will think you’re on to a winner but you’re not - it’s all downhill from there on. Absolute rubbish. Didn’t expect Russell to star in such drivel.

Watched this because I thought with Crowe in it it should at least be above average ... I was wrong. The concept, whilst not new, should’ve been great, but the movie failed to deliver on plot, script, acting and ‘suspension of my disbelief’. I didn’t even finish it, which is extremely rare for me as I have watched some tragic movies in my time. I truly feel that I wasted the rental fee on this one, and it’s another nail in the coffin for the PPV model as the choice is so great, it’s like dunking for Apples. NB I am so confused about the other high reviews...the bar must be low for some 🤷🏼‍♂️

I film worth watching. Brilliant acting from Russell Crowe. Edge of the seat stuff.
