    No idea what the bad reviews are for ,only recent,y watched due to reading bad reviews but I’m confused by them,the musics, is average,the film is fantastic,normally films are worse than shows it this improves. I only hope the bad reviews don’t put off further film adaptations as I’d love to see a movie version of starlight express ,I’m sure they could figure out how that would work,just hearing the songs again would be great ,even better than this movie

    Don’t bother watching this - watch the 1998 stage performance instead - 100 times better! Changed story from the original, some of the songs have been butchered - and the aesthetic is meh

    If you enjoy musicals watch this, I nearly didn’t buy this and was put off going to the cinema as it got trashed but I purchased it on sale. Brilliant cast and great movie. Musicals aren’t everyone’s taste but you know what you’re going to get with one. Up there with Hello Dolly, The Greatest Showman etc.
