Description

A young athlete whose running days might be behind her, a compulsive liar, a shy researcher, a bitter old woman, and a little girl with a big secret—the only thing they have in common is the annual Wind Festival in Fula City. The festival celebrates the Legendary Pokémon Lugia, who brings the wind that powers this seaside city. When a series of threats endangers not just the festival, but all the people and Pokémon of Fula City, it’ll take more than just Ash and Pikachu to save the day! Can everyone put aside his or her differences and work together—or will it all end in destruction?

It's the best Pokémon movie so far. New director and animation style that really brings the city and environment alive. The musical score is Japanese for the first time (excluding lyrics), which is much more cinematic and orchestral. Also a new style of narative structure that is more character driven around several people, of which Ash is not the lead, but sharing equal billing. And it works really well. My daughter (6) rated this above other recent releases including Nutcracker, Ralph Breaks the Internet and Grinch. I'd buy it on here if there were extras and the original Japanese language, but I'll get a a Japanese blu-ray instead.
