On the same par as final destination, but the afore mentioned was was a lot better, same old genre, beautiful innocent type, gobby slutty one, dopey pain in backside lad and of course the handsome jock, the death scenes were quite gruesome, if you like films like final destination or say (candy man) it will be up your street, very average in eyes. 🔨🔪🤔

Blumhouse are on a rather terrific roll with producing small, independent and expertly engaging horror in the last few years, but a roll can only go on so long and so far. Jeff Wadlow’s Truth or Dare is the first stumbling block out the gate, it’s by far not the disaster many are stating, but it is a rather meaningless dud with terrific and fascinating potential. Wadlow a one time bubbling and promising director injects so little style or approach, in what can only be described as one of the most cliched and dull looking films all year. Wadlow’s film had the potential to grasp a genre that was flailing in the likes of I Know What You Did Last Summer or The Final Destination series, meaningless slashers that fright and excite, their sole purpose. This film does neither to the point of wrestling with the audience within its entire running time for you to remotely care about what’s on screen. Another aspect of poor foresight is the utilising of certain 21st Century pop culture phenomenon, namely that of Snapchat in its opening segment. Which will undeniably age the film itself drastically in the foreseeable future.
