I found this film very enjoyable however, if you have read the book in the past it is really different in a variety of ways. The film itself though I would recommend for ages 8 and up as it can easily scare younger ones. Overall it was amazing film and would recommend it to others!
  • Nothing ordinary here!

Donโ€™t be fooled into thinking this is just a regular fantasy film that is good to put on in the background. This kept my attention from the outset and I was pleased to find that on my second viewing some time later I enjoyed it just as much. Great work by Tim Burton.

Tim Burton, has come up trumps with this one. Fab storyline, great cast and a great setting too. I think this is going to become a real family favourite in the way the Nanny McPhee series has. But this has more of an edge. If you like Fantastic Beasts you'll love this and I I actually prefer this.

I like this film a lot but made the mistake of watching the film before reading the books, the plot is completely different in the book to the film. The ending doesn't happen in the book and they have completely swapped Olive and Emma's peculiarities round which has annoyed me a lot as Emma is very different! Also some of the other characters aren't what they were described. I would say that it is a good film to watch but don't let kids under twelve watch it as parts are pretty scary. Good film though, four stars!

An excellent adventure thriller with a touch of horror and suspense. A fabulous cast and excellent direction from Tim Burton. Rated 12A for a reason though so best to avoid showing to sensitive children under 12.
