Description

Oscar® winners Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth are joined by Patrick Dempsey for the next chapter of the world's favorite singleton in Bridget Jones's Baby. Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones's Diary), the new film in the beloved comedy series based on creator Helen Fielding's heroine finds Bridget unexpectedly expecting. After breaking up with Mark Darcy (Firth), Bridget Jones's (Zellweger) "happily ever after" hasn't quite gone according to plan. Forty something and single again, she decides to focus on her job as top news producer and surround herself with old friends and new. For once, Bridget has everything completely under control. What could possibly go wrong? Then her love life takes a turn and Bridget meets a dashing American named Jack (Dempsey), the suitor who is everything Mr. Darcy is not. In an unlikely twist she finds herself pregnant, but with one hitch…she can only be fifty percent sure of the identity of her baby's father.

Not as brilliant as the 1st Bridget but surprisingly good - definitely better than the second film in the series. Worth a watch.

Bridget's back and the all is forgiven for that second film. The third is a total treat and genuinely hilarious all the way through. Plus Patrick Dempsey is gorgeous!

Dreadful film - after two such funny films before this was a total let down, awful.

As a guy, I think I'm not the target audience. The story is different from the first two which is great, but not a film I felt engrossed with.

For those of you that 5 star rated this movie, I can only assume you had some other motive for this high rating, perhaps that had nothing to do with the quality of the film. The actors actually looked embarrassed as they stumbled through the painful dialogue, particularly Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth... I didn't stay with it long enough to find out if Hugh Grant emerged — probably just as well, I can now at least remember him in a fond way from 4 Weddings, About a Boy and Love Actually. What happened to the cute interplay, the well executed farce that we loved, even with 2nd movie? I can't go on. Utter tosh.
