Description

One of the most terrifying and thrilling stories of World War II, Anthropoid follows two soldiers from the Czech army-in-exile, Josef Gabcík (Cillian Murphy) and Jan Kubis (Jamie Dornan), who are parachuted into their occupied homeland in December 1941. With limited intelligence and little equipment in a city locked down under Nazi occupation, they must find a way to assassinate Heydrich, the man many saw as Adolf Hitler's natural successor.

    Dull, boring and depressing. Padded out with excessively long and violent shoot-out scenes. Best avoided if looking for an intelligent drama.

    Good story poor film They mumble especially the Peaky blinders man - can’t understand a word. No subtitles which it needs. Considering this is a true story, the film fails to deliver it with any suspense.

    If you love war movies, then this is definitely one to watch, for me this is a very moving and emotional film of true heroism , and the courage of the Czech people whose lives where on the edge of unimaginable darkness against the nazi regime .

    Very atmospheric film with superb acting only ruined in my opinion by the difficulty I had trying to hear and understand the speech. But nevertheless a very good film and most certainly worth watching.
