I love the battles, ships and the actors. 5 stars is underrated. 100 stars is right.

It seems this one is like marmite for some folk. For me it spoke of the true soul of Trek I've missed so much. I loved it, all of it. Yeah the plot isn't exactly cast iron, but have you seen the originals? I have, and I love this one along with those. There's some lovely character moments sprinkled throughout and a very satisfying edit to music for a specific scene, to name but a few things I really enjoy about this one. If you love the vibe of the original Star Trek, and I mean the Originals (the one this Kelvin timeline is based off of), then this is definitely worth a watch.

This was watchable but not great. Again they destroy enterprise in 3rd film like they did in search for some. Dodgy story ideas they didn’t think of such as since when could they transport a moving object so it materialised still in motion the tribute LeonardNimoy did brings tear to my eye although they could have used different photo than promo shot from start trek 5

I loved the first two films. But this is a big let down. Totally down to Simon Pegg's over-acting as Scotty. He hogs way too much screen time and really spoils the film. The rest of the casting is brilliant. Why could they not have cast a Scottish actor to play Scott? Originally a Canadian now an Englishman. BAD CHOICE! And he destroys the film.

Sci fi can sometimes balance on the edge of downright stupid and just about passable. Star Trek Beyond was not only entertaining, it was also gripping and provided laughs from the whole family. Sci fi will always follow the same sort of plot, but this was one of the best of a lot I’ve ever seen. So hats off to JJ Abrams, lets hope there’s another on the way!

I nearly didn't watch this as a result of some reviewrs. Personally I think that for such a long running franchise it's become impossible to please all the fan boys, all of the time i.e. those who insist it should be a representation of their particular favourite iteration of the theme instead of noticing the blatently obvious changes in all the series and films throughout it's tansition - THAT evolution is what it is and always has been. So many seem to rate it based on whether it is their particular brand of 'Star Trek' and not the film itself. The film is the usual slightly cheesy action film with usual inplausiblities like all films but is interesting and entertaining. Best film ever? No. Worth a watch? Yes. If you're writing reviews like "Each of these "Kelvin timeline" Star Treks is worse than the last" learn a lesson from yourself and stop watching them you weirdos.

Silly story line and boring. Give it a miss.

Each of these "Kelvin timeline" Star Treks is worse than the last. I'm not paying nearly £14 for Fast & Furious in Space. Hopefully ST Discovery series will breathe some life back into the franchise becuase at the moment it should be killed off.

I love Star Trek films but this was pretty awful. I could tell from the first 3 minutes it wasn't going to be good. But if you change the writers and director this is what you end up with.
  • Excellent film, but why is Anton missing from Itunes characters line up??!!!

Although I love all things Star Trek and this film is great, I feel its a little bit poor that Anton Yelchin is missing from the iTunes characters line up, not sure if this was intentional or just an oversight, but feel this should be rectified.
